Björn Birnir's current research interests are stochastic nonlinear partial differential equations and turbulence, dynamical systems theory of partial differential equations, mathematical seismology and geomorphology, nonlinear phenomena in quantum mechanical systems, complex and nonlinear models in biology and applications of the above.
