Michelle Petty’s interdisciplinary research in education and writing draws on Black feminism to investigate diversity issues in academia, creative writing and digital writing. She has been teaching in the Writing Program and the College of Creative Studies since 2016 and 2020, respectively. Petty holds an MA and PhD from UCSB’s Gevirtz Graduate School of Education.
