Kathy Baylis studies agricultural and resource economics in the effort to preserve the world’s overburdened ecosystems while ensuring enough food and fiber to meet the needs of 10 billion people. Her research uses econometrics and machine learning to assess the consequences of government policies on forest conservation, global food security and social welfare.
