George Legrady is an internationally exhibited, digital media artist, researcher and scholar with projects realized at the intersections of photography, interactive installations, data and computationally generated visualizations, cultural analysis and the digital humanities. His contribution to the digital media arts field since the mid-1980s has been in a critical investigation of the impact of integrating computation and creative coding with photographic visualization. Projects and publications have also engaged with semiotics, Information Theory, data visualization, natural language processing, and cultural studies. Artistic works have been realized as large-scale data collection installations, with real-time visualizations in public commissions.
