Associate Professor
Geography

Elizabeth Ackert’s research examines the demographics of disparities. Her work centers on trends in racial and ethnic differences in various sectors of society, including immigration, education, health, and geography. "For instance, why are individuals from different racial/ethnic backgrounds clustered in certain schools, neighborhoods, or cities?" She aims to decipher the causes behind these disparities and their consequences to individuals and society.
