Bruce Kendall
Professor, Associate Dean
Bren School of Environmental Science & Management
Bruce Kendall is a quantitative ecologist who applies the science of population ecology to both the conservation of rare species and the management of harvested populations. He’s interested in processes that cause populations to fluctuate over time, patterns of individual growth in fluctuating environments, as well as how individual growth affects population growth. He also works to predict the extinction risk of rare species. Some of his projects include investigating fish growth in estuaries and rivers, marine fisheries management, and the biology of invasive species.
