Andrea Carlini
Assistant Professor
Chemistry
Andrea Carlini develops biocompatible polymers that can sense, respond to and report on their environment, particularly for fabricating biomedical technologies. She aims to address unsolved medical problems with materials that actively interact with the body via stimuli-responsive and shape-changing polymers. Her goal is to create technologies that can continuously monitor chronic diseases in a non-invasive manner, and self-regulate therapeutic dosing in real time.
