The annual science-technology-business summit focused on UC Santa Barbara's tech facilities

Local business leaders, government officials and interested members of the public converged on campus Thursday, July 11, to check out the UC Santa Barbara's cleanroom facilities, the California NanoSystems Institute Tech Incubator (wet lab) and Makerspace, and the one-of-a-kind Allosphere Research Facility as part of the 2019 TechTopia summit.

An annual event held by the Goleta Chamber of Commerce, the tour focuses on current and potential business opportunities in the technology-heavy local business community. Several tour groups satisfied their curiosity about UCSB's contributions to local technology startups with visits to the myriad spaces where entrepreneurs can get a leg up on their tech businesses, assisted by world-class facilities, the latest innovations and experts in their fields.
