Virtual supplier spotlight: lab sustainability with polycarbin
Join UCSB Procurement Services on Friday, April 17, from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. for a virtual supplier info session. Taylor Burns, Polycarbin’s Lab Sustainability Lead, will provide an overview of the recycling and remanufacturing process that drives the circular economy, offering a look at sustainable lab products available through their manufacturing partners and sharing specific best practices for managing a successful glove recycling stream.
Polycarbin is a UC strategically-sourced supplier that has developed a true circular economy for scientific plastics. They offer a unique solution to recycle lab waste, such as pipette tip boxes, HDPE bottles, and other lab plastics, and remanufacture them into new, high-quality lab products. By choosing Polycarbin, labs can significantly reduce their carbon footprint and ensure plastics are remanufactured rather than downcycled or sent to a landfill.
