Become a Commencement Ambassador

Commencement is one of our most cherished traditions, and it takes our whole UCSB community coming together to make it truly memorable. Your support — whether for a few hours, an entire day or the whole weekend — plays an important role in creating a meaningful experience for our graduates and their families.

We invite you to participate as a Commencement Ambassador and help welcome families and guests, usher our graduates, and bring the celebration to life. As a thank-you for your time, meals will be provided for all Commencement Ambassadors.

Check with your supervisor for work approval before signing up. Non-exempt employees must receive prior written authorization from their supervisors.

Commencement-Related Events

Please provide details about your graduation-related events (department receptions, honor awards, student org celebrations, etc.), including event information, participants and invitees. This information is critical in helping coordinate campus logistics to support our visiting Gaucho families.
