Traffic Advisory: USWNT vs. Chile Soccer Match
The U.S. Women’s National Team is scheduled to play Chile on Tuesday, January 27, at 7 p.m. in Harder Stadium. Due to the high expected attendance, traffic and parking on campus will be heavily impacted throughout the afternoon and evening.
Traffic and Parking Details
- Traffic Control: Transportation & Parking Services (TPS) staff will be on-site directing traffic in key areas. Please obey all traffic signs and directions from traffic control personnel.
- Parking Plan: A comprehensive traffic plan has been established to accommodate attendees, which utilizes parking lots and structures across campus.
- Campus Trolleys: Trolleys will be circulating to provide attendees with transportation between remote parking areas and the stadium.
Stadium Road Access Restrictions
- Restricted Hours: Entry to Stadium Road will be restricted from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- San Clemente Resident Access: Residents of San Clemente will maintain access to Stadium Road through the El Colegio side. TPS staff will be present to ensure safe access to Parking Structure 50.
- Post-Game: The game is expected to end between 9 and 9:30 p.m. During this time, vehicle access may be temporarily restricted on Stadium Road to ensure pedestrian safety due to high traffic volume. TPS will reopen the road as soon as it is safe.
Campus Community Recommendation
- We strongly recommend avoiding all unnecessary travel to campus during the affected time periods.
- Staff, faculty and students who are attending the game should avoid moving their vehicles during the day to minimize traffic impacts.
