Timothy Sherwood
Timothy Sherwood joined the CS Department in 2003 and has worked on a broad set of research problems relating to both hardware and software. Since joining UCSB, he has been the recipient of the NSF Career Award, the UCSB Academic Senate Distinguished Teaching Award and Outstanding Graduate Mentor Award, the SIGARCH Maurice Wilkes Award "for contributions to novel program analysis advancing architectural modeling and security," and on 11 separate occasions his papers have been selected by a board of industry and academic panelists as one of the 12 discipline-wide "IEEE Micro Top Picks" for the year for their impact and importance. He is a Fellow of the IEEE, a Distinguished Scientist of the ACM, and a Distinguished Alumnus of UC San Diego Computer Science.
