Riding the Waves at UCSB

Surfing has always been popular at UC Santa Barbara, especially since we have our own beach. But it's been HUGE this week, with big waves pounding Campus Point Beach, attracting hundreds of surfers to the area. The waves were produced by Hurricane Marie to the south, a late-summer gift for surfing Gauchos. Videographer Spencer Bruttig went for a swim to meet the surfers and document the action.
