Fulfilling His Promise

Chancellor Henry T. Yang delivers on his Promise for Education by opening up Storke Tower to UC Santa Barbara students on Friday, May 22.

Chancellor Henry T. Yang opened Storke Tower to UC Santa Barbara students on Friday, May 22, to fulfill the promise he made last year for the University of California Promise for Education campaign. It was part of UCSB First's Senior FUNDay festivities. As you can see from the photos, the event was a huge success, drawing hundreds of students who took the elevator up to the top of the tallest structure in Santa Barbara County. "Thank you for opening this up to us," one smiling student said as she got off the elevator with Yang.
