Empowered Women Inspire Change

UCSB Professional Women's Association to host 18th annual professional development conference

Workshops, networking activities and a keynote address by Janet Garufis, president and chief executive officer at Montecito Bank & Trust, will highlight the annual professional development conference sponsored by PWA 2.0 — the Professional Women's Association — at UCSB. The daylong event, “Empowered Women Inspire Change,” is slated for Tuesday, May 13, in Corwin Pavilion.

Founded in 1993, the Professional Women's Association aims to increase awareness among the campus community of the contributions women make to the mission of UCSB, to contribute to the advancement of women and to provide a forum to influence decisions on campus and community issues.
