Application Period Opens for Staff Advisor to the Regents

Staff members interested in public policy, advocacy and the future of UC are encouraged to apply

Applications are being accepted for the next staff advisor-designate to the Regents. The term runs from July 2014 through June 2016.

The staff advisor program allows for two staff and/or non-Senate academic employees to participate in open sessions of the Board of Regents as well as designated committees of the board. The staff advisors bring the voice and perspective of staff and non-Senate academic employees to board deliberations. One new staff advisor is elected each year for a two-year term.

The current staff advisors to the Regents are Kathy Barton of UC Riverside, whose term will expire in June, and Donna Coye, associate director of admissions at UCSB, who joined the board in July 2013.
