Thousands of parents of UC Santa Barbara students and other family members will visit the university Nov. 3-5 to experience the rich array of social, cultural, academic, and athletic events that the campus offers.
Parents' and Family Weekend begins at 9 a.m. on Friday and ends on Sunday at 2 p.m.
Visitors will have an opportunity to explore UCSB and the surrounding community, attend classes and faculty and student presentations, enjoy student-directed plays, other performances, and athletic events, and meet campus leaders, including Chancellor Henry T. Yang and his wife, Dilling.
A variety of guided tours will be offered both on campus and off, including tours led by UCSB naturalists of the Coal Oil Point Reserve west of the campus and the Sedgwick Reserve in the Santa Ynez Valley.
